Legends 3 day Short Break to Lapland

The Legends short break to Lapland is based in an area of pristine snowscapes, the perfect location for your Christmas Lapland holiday.  Elves and reindeer are known to have been seen in this area of Lapland so this is a good place to start your search for Santa Claus.

You will venture out into the snowy forest, hoping to find a traditional log cabin known to be Santa's hideaway.  If you and your family are lucky enough to find the elusive old man, you will have the chance for a private meeting in his cabin, where Santa is sure to have time to talk to each child individually about their Christmas wishes.

The thrill of a husky safari.... A team of huskies awaits and you will enjoy an exhilarating ride into the picturesque surroundings as these marvellous animals pull our sledge through five kilometres of unforgettable scenery.

A leisurely reindeer safari....  Santa's trusty reindeers are waiting to pull you gently through the silent surroundings. This is a not to be missed opportunity to experience a thirty minute safari by what was once the standard means of transport in the area.

An exhilarating snowmobile safari.... The fastest of your included safaris is the snowmobile adventure. You will experience a one and a half  hour safari on these remarkable machines, including instruction and stoppages.  Adults will have the chance to drive their own (with passenger)  Children will be pulled in a sleigh pulled by one of the snowmobiles.

Tobogganing and snow fun.... Of course, you will also get plenty of time to enjoy playing in the snow!  There will be various activities including tobogganing, kick-sledging, children's snowmobiles and tandem skiing.  You could also have a go at traditional Lappish lasso-throwing or what about a good old fashioned snowball fight!  

On the last night of your stay a delicious festive three course meal will be served for you to enjoy with your new found friends.

Day 1 in Lapland

After a festive flight you land in Enontekio in Finland and are guided to your coach for the one hour transfer to the Davvi Arcitic Lodge, stopping en-route to collect your thermal suits and boots.  After checking in at the hotel, your representative will host a welcome meeting and during a welcome dinner, will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Day 2 in Lapland

After breakfast, head outside for Supervised Snow Fun, a day of activities including a Snowshoe Trek, Snowball Throwing Contest, Tandem Skis and Children's Skis, Snowman Building, Tug-of- War, Snow Hockey and lots more!  Youngsters can take a couple of laps on the supervised children's snowmobile track.  As the activities are available throughout the day you can enjoy them at your leisure.  A hot warming lunch will be provided at the hotel. After lunch, you might want to join in the Indoor Christmas crafts. Or, just relax indoors.  Then, the highlight of the day when you set out in search of Santa, travelling by reindeer sleigh to his chosen log cabin or Sami kota.  During a private family visit children have the chance  to talk with Santa and will receive a small gift.  This evening join a walk to the local church on the Swedish side of the border.  It's the most northerly church in Sweden!  After a short welcome by the local vicar you can join in with carol singing before returning to the hotel for your Festive dinner.   

Day 3 in Lapland

Check out of your room this morning before joining your two included Santa safaris, a 40 minute husky safari and 1.5 hour snowmobile safari, two adventures surrounded by the vast unspoiled landscapes of this majestic region.  Then there's time for snow activities outside, with toboggans available free of charge and kick sledges (deposit payable).  Or, if you prefer, there's plenty of family fun to be had making snowmen or enjoying a good old-fashioned snowball fight!  Or you could try an optional excursion (extra cost).  Lunch at the hotel, then set off by coach to Enontekio and your flight home.
