Lapland Magic 4 Day Short Break to Lapland

Travel deep inside the Arctic Circle, to Hetta in the far north of Finnish Lapland. This is the real Lapland and a perfect base from which to go in search of the real Father Christmas.

Some of the locals have reported seeing Santa's sleigh in this area, so each family will head into the woods in search of his secret log cabin. If you find Santa's cabin, it will be with some excitement, that you push open the door to discover Father Christmas himself, who will try to talk to each of your children individually..

A one and a half hour snowmobile safari will be an experience to remember. Adults will have the chance to drive their own. Children will be pulled in a sleigh pulled by one of the snowmobiles.

You  will also enjoy the memorable experience of a 40 minute husky ride through the snow. The eager barking of the dogs as you arrive at the husky farm will indicate that they are ready to give you a swift ride!

On all our short breaks to Hetta, there is plenty of time to enjoy playing in the snow!  Take your pick from tobogganing, kick-sledging, children's snowmobiles and tandem skiing.  And of course there is always a snowball fight..!

There is a festive atmosphere for the gala dinner on the last evening of your stay. You will be served with a special three-course meal.

Day 1 in Lapland

Fly to Enontekio Airport and transfer to your chosen accommodation collecting your thermal suits and boots en-route.  Refreshments will be available during your welcome meeting hosted by your representative, who will go through the content of your stay and introduce you to the area.  Tonight, you may like to join one of the optional activities (available at extra cost), such as a night safari, with the possibility of encountering the Northern lights.  

Day 2 in Lapland

After Breakfast , enjoy your first Santa Safari, either a 40 minute Husky dog safari or a 1.5hr Snowmobile safari, followed by a warming  lunch. Throughout the day you can enjoy snow activities outside, with toboggans available free of charge, and kick sledges (deposit payable).  Or, if you prefer, there's plenty of family fun to be had making snowmen or enjoying a good old-fashioned snowball fight!  This evening, join in the walk to the local church, where after a short welcome by the local vicar, you can enjoy carol singing before returning to the hotel for dinner.  After dinner, the chance to join an optional activity (extra cost).

Day 3 in Lapland

After breakfast, head out for Supervised Snow Fun, a day of activities including a Snowshoe Trek, Snowball Throwing Contest, Tandem Skis and Children's Skis, Snowman Building, Tug-of-War, Snow Hockey, and lots more!  In addition, there will be a supervised children's snowmobile ride.  A warming lunch will be served in the hotel.  Afterwards, you might like to join in the indoor Christmas Crafts.  Then, the highlight of the day when you board a reindeer sleigh in search of Father Christmas!  During a private meeting in his secret cabin, each child has the chance to talk with Santa and receives a small gift.  This evening, enjoy a Festive Dinner.

Day 4 in Lapland 

Check out after breakfast, before joining your last Santa Safari, a 40 minute Husky Experience or a 1.5 hour Snowmobile Adventure, whichever you did not do on Day 2.  There should be time for one final play in the snow or join an optional excursion (extra cost).  After lunch at the hotel, depart for Enontekio and your flight home.
