Legends 5 Day Short Break to Lapland

The Legends short break is based in northern Lapland in an area of pristine snowscapes, the perfect location for winter activities. Elves and reindeer are known to have been seen in this area of Lapland so this is a good place to start your search for Santa Claus.

You will venture out into the snowy forest, hoping to find a traditional log cabin known to be Santa's hideaway. If you and your family are lucky enough to find the elusive old man, you will have the chance for a private meeting in his cabin, where Santa is sure to have time to talk to each child individually about their Christmas wishes.

The thrill of a husky safari.... A team of huskies awaits and you will enjoy an exhilarating ride into the picturesque surroundiings..

An exhilarating snowmobile safari.... The fastest of your included safaris is the snowmobile adventure. You will experience a one hour safari on these remarkable machines, including instruction and stoppages. Adults will have the chance to drive their own (with passenger) Children will be pulled in a sleigh behind one of the guides snowmobiles.

Tobogganing and snow fun.... Of course, you will also get plenty of time to enjoy playing in the snow! There will be various activities including tobogganing, kick sledging and childrens' snowmobiles.

On the last night of your stay a delicious festive dinner will be served for you to enjoy with your new found friends.

Day 1 in Lapland

Arriving into Enontekio in the very North of Finnish Lapland, your transfer to the Davvi Lodge in Karesuando takes around an hour. After checking into the hotel, your representative will hold a welcome meeting. Tonight, you might like to join one of the optional excursions (extra cost), such as a snowmobile safari , hoping to encounter the Northern Lights.

Day 2 in Lapland

After breakfast you will head out on your first Santa safari, a 40 minute husky dog safari, followed by lunch. Throughout the day you can enjoy snow activities outside, with toboggans available free of charge. Or there's plenty of family fun to be had making snowmen or enjoying a good old-fashioned snowball fight! This evening, join a walk to the local church. After a welcome by the vicar and carols, return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 3 in Lapland

After Breakfast you will join your second safari - the one hour snowmobile adventure, followed by lunch. A supervised childrens' snowmobile ride will be available or if you are lucky a chance to get up close to a friendly reindeer. This is followed by the highlight of the day when you board a reindeer sleigh and set off in search of Father Christmas. During a private family meeting in his cabin, each child has the chance to talk to Santa and receive a small gift. After dinner you can relax or enjoy an optional activity (extra cost).

Day 4 in Lapland

After breakfast, head outside for Family Snow Fun, or you may want to go out on an optional excursion such as ice fishing or take the chance to drive your own reindeer (extra cost). Lunch will be served at the hotel. Afterwards, you might like to join the indoor Christmas crafts. This evening, enjoy a Festive Dinner and then afterwards, why not join an optional excursion (extra cost).

Day 5 in Lapland

After breakfast, it's time to check out of the hotel. Then set off on one final adventure, a Wilderness Treasure Hunt! Alternatively, there is time for one last play in the snow or to join an optional excursion (extra cost). After lunch at the hotel, depart for Enontekio and the flight home.

Prices are based on the Davvi Hotel in a room sleeping 2-3 for smaller families and 4-5 for larger families

Grandparents discount - anyone over the age of 60 will receive £25 per night discount
