Day 1 in Lapland

Santa's Magic Lapland holiday starts on arrival at Ivalo Airport where the children will enjoy being met by a reindeer and one of Santa's special elves!
There is then a short, comfortable 25-minute transfer to your cosy chalet or hotel in Saariselka where it is time for you 'Michelin-man' impersonations, as you are fitted with your special complimentary thermal over-suits and boots to protect you from the artic Lapland weather.

There is time for fun - a chance to explore, make snowmen, or just relax in a fragrant sauna before your wonderful welcome dinner (Full Board option) to set the scene for tomorrow's excitement !

Day 2 in Lapland

Day two of your Lapland holiday starts with a thrilling 1.5 hour Snowmobile Safari through the fantastic Lapland snowscape.! Adults ride in pairs, driving or riding pillion, and children are towed in sledges. Older children may ride pillion with a parent. There is a break halfway for hot drinks around a crackling camp-fire, with toboggans to keep the youngsters happy!

Lunch is included either before or after your snowmobile adventure in one of the cosy local restaurants.  This will be a simple 2 course meal with separate options for the children and plenty of hot berry juice, squash, tea and coffee available.

You may choose from the many "Optional Adventures" for day four of your holiday in Lapland.

Full Board guests will enjoy dinner at your leisure in your hotel or chalet, to set the scene for tomorrow's excitement, whilst bed and breakfast guests may sample Saariselka's choice of restaurants.

Day 3 in Lapland

Day three of your Lapland holiday starts with being picked up from your doorstep for the ultimate Christmas adventure with the following exciting activities are all included..

• Reindeer sleigh-ride - meet your reindeer, learn their names, then take a wonderful ride into the picturesque woods, with the children cuddled under blankets on your knee.
• Husky-sled ride, where children get to ride (and shout 'mush, mush!') and grown-ups can all take a turn at actually 'driving' your sled!
• Traditional Arctic Circle Ceremony. You'll meet the local 'Sami' people and their animals and be introduced to their traditional songs and culture. Every guest receives a special souvenir certificate, to celebrate your crossing of the Arctic Circle!
• Lunch is included to 'recharge your batteries' for the afternoon, then a host of snow and ice activities to enjoy such as - kick-sledding (a crazy cross of scooter and toboggan!), ice-fishing, tandem skiing, mini skidoo rides for children and snow sculptures!
• See your children's faces light up with wonder as you fulfil your Search and meet Santa Claus himself in his hideaway Lapland log cabin home, with all his helpers on hand to make you welcome and ensure that there is magic in the air!

• Delicious hot berry juice and snacks are provided - the perfect recipe for a crisp winter's day.

Day 4 in Lapland

Fun-time again, with the chance to thrill to another big adventure, either pre-booked in the UK or chosen the night before from our "Optional Adventures"

If you have booked the full board option, a light packed lunch will be provided from your hotel or chalet.  This allows you to make the most of your last morning in Lapland.  You will be collected by coach from your doorstep and taken to the airport to a chorus of fond farewells!

• Snowmobile Safari - a 1½ to 2-hour adventure, zooming across open snowfields, and including a halfway stop for a warming mug of hot berry juice around an open fire.

• Husky Heaven - if our included husky-sled ride whets your appetite, this 1-hour trip gives you longer to experience the unrivalled thrill of 'driving' your own team of huskies through the pristine landscape.

• Rudolph's Reindeer Run - a wonderful ride to remember, snuggled under blankets as reindeer pull your sleigh across the snow! Family rides available, or romantic sleighs for two!

• Enjoy a steaming sauna - free in all our chalets and hotels.
• Take the children swimming at the Hotel Holiday Club pool (FREE to those staying there).
• Ride the ski-bus to the top of Kaunispää Fell, the local ski-hill, and toboggan down the 1.2km run.
• Stroll the village shops for Christmas presents and souvenirs.
• Try snow-shoeing - the perfect way to explore off the beaten track. Adults £32 / Children 2-11 years £22.
• Ice Driving - Take the wheel of a go-kart and test your skills in the ice and snow.  Approx 20 minutes driving time.  Adults £69.
• Northern Lights Adventure - An evening snowmobile expedition in search of the fabulous Northern Lights.  1.5 hours with two adults sharing a snowmobile and children travelling in a snowmobile-sled.  Adults £69 / Children 2-11 years £59.

Prices are based on the Hotel Kieppi in a Type A Bedroom sleeping 2-3 on a Bed & Breakfast basis.  Full Board supplements on request.
