Santas Spectacular 4 day trip to Lapland

Day 1 in Lapland

Santa's Spectacular Lapland holiday starts on arrival at Ivalo Airport where the children will enjoy being met by a reindeer and its Sami handler, and one of Santa's cheeky elves!

There is then a short, comfortable 25-minute transfer to your hotel or cabin in Saariselka where it is time for your 'Michelin-man' impersonations, as you are fitted with your special complimentary thermal over-suits, boots, socks, gloves and hats.

There is time for fun - a chance to explore, make snowmen, or just relax in a fragrant Finnish sauna before your wonderful welcome dinner (Half Board option) to set the scene for tomorrow's excitement !

Day 2 in Lapland

The second day of your break gives you the chance to start building up the excitement with your choice of our fantastic Optional Adventures. Try a sensational snowmobile safari - one of our previous guests' big favourites - or enjoy a few hours skiing, or maybe go for an extra husky sled or reindeer sleigh ride - always a popular choice with the children.

Families in the cabins will be welcomed back to dinner by their host, whilst half-board hotel guests dine in their hotel.

Day 3 in Lapland

Day three of  your Lapland holiday starts with being picked up for the ultimate Christmas adventure with the following exciting activities all included.

• Reindeer sleigh-ride : meet your reindeer and your local Sami guide, learn the Lappish reindeer names, then take a wonderful 7 - 10 minute ride into the picturesque woods, with the children cuddled under blankets on your knee.
• Husky-sled ride: where children get to ride (and shout 'mush, mush!') and grown-ups can all take a turn at actually 'driving' your own sled!
• Lunch: is included to 'recharge your batteries' for the afternoon, then a host of snow and ice activities to enjoy such as - kick-sledding (a crazy cross of scooter and toboggan!), ice-fishing, tandem skiing and mini skidoo rides for children!
• See your children's faces light up with wonder as you fulfil your family's search for Santa,and meet Santa himself in his hideaway Lapland log cabin home, with all his helpers on hand to make you welcome and ensure that there is magic in the air! EXCLUSIVE PRIVATE FAMILY MEETING!
• Refreshments: Available throughout the day, for those times when a few minutes warming up round a crackling log fire is welcomed. 

Finally, back 'home' in your hotel, you can finish the day with a wonderful Gala Dinner (half board option only).  In the Christmas Cabins, a special festive dinner rounds off the day, while you re-live every unforgettable moment of  your biggest Christmas adventure !

Day 4 in Lapland

Fun-time again, with the chance to thrill to another big adventure, either pre-booked in the UK or chosen the night before from our Optional Adventures. You may have fallen in love with the huskies and want to enjoy an even longer ride, or take off on a snowmobile safari for high-octane thrills!

This allows you to make the most of your last morning in Lapland. You have time to browse the village's souvenir shops, to choose from their range of traditional hademade Lappish items, gifts and toys.

 You will be collected by coach from your hotel and taken to the airport to a chorus of fond farewells!

• Snowmobile Safari - An unforgettable adventure, zooming through snowfields, woodland and over frozen lakes.
  Adult-only Safari (2 hrs) - £89 (one person per snowmobile), or £69 (two people per snowmobile).   Family Safari (approx 1hr) - Adults £49/ Children 4-11 years £39
• Husky Heaven - if our included husky-sled ride whets your appetite, this 1-hour trip gives you longer to experience the unrivalled thrill of 'driving' your own team of huskies through the pristine landscape.

• Downhill Skiing - Saariselka's ski-slopes are ideal for beginners, or for intermediates wanting a quick 'blast'!  For a two hour session including equipment-hire and lift-pass Adults £44/Children 7-12 years £35  Children under 7 £25      Tuition - 90 minutes with private instructor 1 person £39,  2 persons £25pp,  3+ persons £19pp   
• Snow-Shoeing or Cross Country Skiing - Adults £25/Children 6-11 years £17

• Enjoy a steaming sauna - free in all hotels.
• Take the children swimming at the Hotel Holiday Club pool (FREE to those staying there).
• Ride the ski-bus to the top of Kaunispää Fell, the local ski-hill, and toboggan down the 1.2km run.
• Stroll the village shops for Christmas presents and souvenirs.
• Northern Lights Adventure - An evening snowmobile expedition in search of the fabulous Northern Lights.  1.5 hours with two adults sharing a snowmobile and children travelling in a snowmobile-sled.  Adults £69 / Children 4-11 years £49.

Prices are based on the Hotel Tunturi in a Type A Bedroom sleeping 2-4 on a Bed & Breakfast basis.  Half Board supplements on request  

Child prices vary depending on a whether a child in a particular age group is the first, second, third child etc in the family, please check with ourselves for an accurate quote.

Also available are 'Santa's Christmas Cabins'. Cosy, catered log cabins with log fire and sauna.  Includes substantial breakfast and 3 course evening meal.  Available on selected dates.  Ideal for parties of 8-10.
