White Christmas 5 day trip to Lapland

Make this year's Christmas a truly memorable and magical one, deep inside the Arctic Circle, in Lapland, the home of Father Christmas.  Christmas is always magical but even more so when a blanket of snow covers the ground and there's the added anticipation of meeting Father Christmas himself.

Manchester - Karesuando

December 23 - Your flight departs at around 10am and on arrival at Enontekio join your guided coach transfer taking around an hour through the heart of the Sami lands, stopping en-route to collect your thermal suits and boots.   After checking in at the hotel, your representative will host a welcome meeting when they will discuss your break in further detail and answer any questions, and during dinner will be on hand to answer any further questions.  After dinner you may like to join an optional activity (extra cost).

Christmas Eve - After breakfast head into the grounds of the Davvi Arctic Lodge for supervised snow fun including a Snowshoe Trek, Snowball throwing contest, Tandem Skiing, Children's skis, Snowman Building, Tug-of-War, Snow Hockey, and lots more!  In addition, there will be a supervised children's snowmobile ride.  Activities are available throughout the day.  A hot warming lunch will be served in the hotel.  Afterwards, you might like to join the inside craft activities, or just relax indoors.  The highlight of the day; join Santa's own reindeer sleigh and set off in search of Father Christmas.  During a private family meeting with Santa, each child will have the opportunity to talk with Santa and receive a small gift.  After dinner, relax, or join of of the optional husky night safaris (extra cost), perhaps in the hope of seeing the Northern Lights. 

Christmas Day - This morning experience your first Santa safari, either a 40 minute Husky safari or a 1.5 hour Snowmobile safari.  On your return a warming buffet lunch will be provided. Throughout the day you can enjoy snow activities outside, with toboggans available free or charge and kick sledges (deposit payable).  There's even an outdoor ice rink , with skates available for youngsters to hire.  This afternoon, each family will be provided with the materials to decorate a gingerbread house, with a prize for the best.  There's also the chance to join a Wilderness Treasure Hunt!  Fancy visting another country this evening?  Then join a walk to the local church, on the Swedish side of the border, the most northerly church in Sweden.  After a short welcome by the local vicar and carol singing head back to the Davvi Arctic Lodge for a special Christmas Dinner.

Boxing Day - After Breakfast, join your last Santa Safari, either the Husky Safari or Snowmobile Safari, whichever one you did not join yesterday.  After lunch at the hotel, the afternoon is free to relax, enjoy some more fun in the snow or perhaps join an optional excursion (extra cost).

December 27 - Check out after Breakfast, after which time the morning is free.  After lunch at the hotel, depart for Enontekio and your flight home.   

London Gatwick - Hetta

23 December - On arrival in Lapland, transfer to the resort of Hetta, a short 15 minute coach journey away, collecting your thermal suits and boots along the way.  After checking into your chosen accommodation, your representative hosts a welcome meeting and then this evening, during a welcome dinner, your representative will be on hand to answer any further questions.  Tonight, an opportunity to join an optional excursion (extra cost), such as a snowmobile night safari when you may be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights.

Christmas Eve - After breakfast, head out on your first safari, either a thrilling 40 minute Husky Experience or an exhilarating 1.5 hour snowmobile Adventure, followed by a warming buffet lunch at the hotel.  Throughout the day you can enjoy snow activities outside, with toboggans available free and kick sledges on payment of a deposit.  Or there's plenty of fun to be had making snowmen or enjoying a good old-fashioned snowball fight!  Alternatively, you might like to opt to join the inside craft activities, or maybe try one of the optional excursions, such as Reindeer Herding (extra cost).  This evening, enjoy a walk to the local church.  After a short welcome from the vicar and carol singing return to your hotel for dinner.  

Christmas Day - A day of supervised Snow Fun, a day of activities including a Snowshoe Trek, Snowball Throwing Contest, Tandem Skiing and Children's skis, Snowman Building, Tug-of-War, Snow Hockey and lots more!  There will also be a supervised children's snowmobile ride.  Activities are available throughout the day.  A hot lunch will be provided.  Then, the highlight of your trip, when you board a reindeer sleigh in Search of Father Christmas!  During a private family meeting in his cabin, each child has the chance to talk with Santa and receives a small gift.  After a special Christmas Dinner, relax, or join an optional night safari (extra cost). 

Boxing Day - After Breakfast, join your last Santa Safari, either the Husky Experience or Snowmobile Adventure, whichever your did not join previously.  After lunch at the hotel, the afternoon is free to relax, enjoy some more fun in the snow, or perhaps join an optional excursion (extra cost).

27 December - Check out after Breakfast, after which the morning is free for one final play in the snow or join an optional excursion (extra cost).  After lunch at the hotel, depart for Enontekio and your flight home.
